Kelsey Kruse Award Player of the Week Week Of 10/7/2019 Sport Women's Tennis School Luther College Year Senior Position Hometown Decorah, Iowa High School Decorah Women’s Tennis – Player of the Week Kelsey Kruse, Luther College Sr., Decorah, Iowa/Decorah Kruse helped lead Luther claim the 2019 A-R-C regular season championship. She capped off the championship week with a 2-0 record in singles and doubles. Luther defeated Central (8-1) and Simpson (9-0) cap off league play with an undefeated record. At No. 3 Kruse defeated Kennedi Wright of Simpson (6-2, 6-1) and Brownwyn Metcalf of Central (6-1, 6-3). In doubles she played with Lexi Hastings, Fr., Menomonie, Wis./Menomonie. The duo defeated Megan Grubb/Lorin Miller of Simpson (8-3) and Lauryn Mize/Karleigh Schilling of Central (8-7). The doubles team finished the A-R-C schedule undefeated with a record of 7-0. Kruse is earning her second career Player of the week award (10/7/19, 9/17/17).
