Brittany Coppess Award MVP Week Of 10/15/2018 Sport Women's Golf School Central College Year Senior Position Hometown Clinton, Iowa High School Clinton Women's Golfer of the Year Brittany Coppess, Central College Sr., Clinton, Iowa/Clinton Coppess earned medalist and MVP honors at the 2018 American Rivers Conference Women’s Golf Championships. The individual title was decided in playoff between Coppess and Dubuque’s Daniela Miranda as the two were tied with three-round totals of 231. Coppess parred the first playoff hole, while Miranda bogeyed. The Clinton, Iowa native recorded rounds of 80-76-75 on her way to the 2018 crown. Coppess is the first Dutch medalist since Sarah Paulson in 2011. Knotted at 980 each after 54 holes, Central and Dubuque entered a sudden-death playoff to determine the team Champion. Central won the team championship on the first playoff hole. The title was Central’s 10th women's golf championship in program history.
