Co-Pitcher of the Year

Fritz joins Megan Swingen (2009) and Karly Olson (2017) as the third Central player to earn Pitcher of the Year honors. Prior to the player of the year award's being split, Central had seven named league MVP: Laurie Sutten (1987); Brenda Vigness (1988); Christi Van Werden (1991); Emily Grimes (1993); Missy Allen (1996); Libby Hysell (2003) and Corrie Schmidt (2004). Fritz owned a league-high 11 wins with 87.0 innings pitched during regular-season conference play. Fritz earned conference Pitcher of the Week honors during the final week of the regular season and this past week. Her first honor came after leading Central to a 4-0 week that sealed the regular-season title. This past week's accolade was earned after throwing all 14 innings in Central's two A-R-C tournament games, including a complete-game shutout in the A-R-C tournament championship game.
