Softball – Position Player of the Week
Sadie Baugher, Central College
Sr., RF, Eddyville, Iowa/Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont
- Baugher drove in all three of Central's runs in a 3-0 win over second-seeded Coe in the conference title game Saturday, May 4, including a two-run double in the sixth inning.
- In the semifinal game against fifth-seeded Dubuque, Baugher went 2-for-3 with 2-RBI and one stolen base.
- In the two tournament games she finished with an .800 batting average (4-for-5), 5-RBI, 1-double, 2-stolen bases and 3-putouts.
- Bougher and the Dutch take on Lake Forest in the opening round of the NCAA Division III softball championships.
- The Dutch were selected to host the regional round, this coming weekend.
This is the first Position Player of the Week honor for Baugher.
