Mariah Fritz Award Pitcher of the Week Week Of 4/29/2019 Sport Softball School Central College Year Senior Position Hometown Tama, Iowa High School East Marshall Softball – Pitcher of the Week Mariah Fritz, Central College Sr., RHP, Tama, Iowa/East Marshall Fritz led Central to a 4-0 stretch in the final week of the regular season to seal the program's first conference title since 2013 and 13th in program history. Adding a non-conference win against Monmouth, Fritz was 5-0 after throwing 404 pitches and four complete games. She threw all 12 innings in the doubleheader sweep of No.13 Luther that clinched the outright league championship. On the week she tossed 29 innings, allowing 38 hits and 10 earned runs while striking out 10 and holding opponents to a .322 batting average. Central’s regular season title earned them the No.1 seed and hosting rights to this weekend’s A-R-C tournament. This is Fritz’s first Pitcher of the Week award.
