Megan Crockett Award Position Player of the Week Week Of 4/22/2019 Sport Softball School Simpson College Year Sophomore Position Hometown Bryant, Iowa High School Northeast Goose Lake Female Athlete of the Week - Softball – Position Player of the Week Megan Crockett, Simpson College So., DP, Bryant, Iowa/Northeast Goose Lake Crockett helped the Storm go 3-1 on the week, improving to 18-14 overall and 5-7 in conference play. The sophomore designated player batted .636 for the week (7-of-11) with three home runs, two doubles, seven RBI, and six runs. Two of Crockett’s three home runs came in a 9-5 win over Wartburg as she went 3-for-3 at the plate with three RBIs. She went 4-for-4 against Nebraska Wesleyan with four RBIs, helping Simpson defeat NWU 8-2. Crockett is the first Storm player to earn Position Player of the Week honors this season.
