Haley Jones Award Female Athlete of the Week Week Of 4/1/2019 Sport American Rivers Conference School Coe College Year Senior Position Hometown Waterloo, Iowa High School Waterloo West Female Athlete of the Week - Softball – Position Player of the Week Haley Jones, Coe College Sr., SS, Waterloo, Iowa/Waterloo West Jones hit a remarkable .692 over four Kohawk wins last week as No. 11 Coe improved to 22-3 on the year. The senior went 9-for-13 with seven RBI, two home runs, two doubles, nine runs scored a slugging percentage of 1.308. Coe defeated Augustana (8-1, 10-2) and opened league play with two wins over Dubuque (5-2, 5-4). In game one against Augustana Jones went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one double and one run. Game two against Augustana saw Jones go a perfect 3-for3 with three RBI, four runs, one home run and three stolen bases. Jones went 2-for-3 in game one against Dubuque, hitting one double, stealing one base and scoring two runs. In game two against the Spartans, Jones was 3-for-5 with one home run, one RBI, one stolen base and two runs. This is Jones’ fifth Softball Position Player of the Week honor (4/1/19, 3/11/19, 4/29/18, 4/16/17, 4/9/17). Jones was voted Conference Position Player of the Year a season ago and picked up her second, first-team all-league honors.
