High School Lincoln Northeast Men’s Basketball – Player of the Week Ryan Garver, Nebraska Wesleyan University Sr., Forward, Lincoln, Neb./Lincoln Northeast Garver scored a career-high 33 points and just missed a triple-double with 10 rebounds and 9 assists in A-R-C Tournament Championship game. He averaged 23.5 points, 9 assists, 6.5 rebounds and 4 steals while shooting 61.5 percent from the field in the A-R-C Tournament. In the semifinal game against Simpson, Garver totaled 14 points, 3 rebounds, 9 assists and 6 steals. The senior forward broke his own school record for season steals and leads the nation in assists. The championship game double-double was the ninth of his career. The top-ranked Prairie Wolves learned today that they will serve as hosts for first and second round games of this year’s NCAA Division III men’s basketball tournament. The defending national champions will face Eureka in the first round. A season ago Garver was named the league’s defensive MVP and co-offensive MVP. This is Garver’s fourth Men’s Basketball Player of the Week accolade (2/25/19, 1/21/19, 1/7/19, 2/4/18).
