High School Geneseo Male Athlete of the Week – Men’s Indoor Track & Field – Field Performer of the Week Will Daniels, Central College Jr., Geneseo, Ill./Geneseo After setting the third-best heptathlon score in NCAA Division III history on Dec. 2, 2018, Daniels bested his effort and that of all those who came before him at the Wartburg indoor Select on Feb. 1-2, 2019 The defending National Champion compiled 5,441 points over the weekend to set a new all-time best score in NCAA Division III history. Daniels garnered top time/mark in each of the following events: 60-meter dash (7.01 seconds) 60-meter hurdles (8.59 seconds) high jump (6-9) long jump (22-0.75) shot put (42-7) The defending national champion in the heptathlon is also top-50 nationally in the 60-meter dash (26th), 60-meter hurdles (37th), high jump (4th) and long jump (39th). This is Daniels’ fourth Indoor Field Performer of the Week honor (2/4/19, 12/3/18, 2/4/18, 12/3/18).
