High School Glenbard East Men’s Indoor Track & Field – Track Performer of the Week Patrick Mikel, Loras College Jr., Lombard, Ill./Glenbard East Mikel helped Loras to a first-place team finish (187.5 points) at the Fighting Bee Invite on Jan. 26. Event 1: 200m - 1st place - 22.24 Mikel’s time ranks eighth in NCAA Division III, first in the American Rivers, and stands as a Loras school record. Event 2: 60m – 3rd place - 7.12 His 60m time clocks in as a new personal record and stands sixth in the American Rivers. Event 3: 4x400 - 1st place - 3:20.88 The 4x400 time stands third in NCAA Division III this season and first in the American Rivers. Mikel claimed the 2018 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field national title in the 400m. This is Mikel’s third Indoor Track Performer of the Week award (1/28/19, 12/10/18, 2/4/18).
