High School Neuqua Valley Male Athlete of the Week – Men’s Basketball – Player of the Week Demond George, Loras College Sr., G, Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley George helped the Duhawks to wins over Buena Vista (104-85) and Augsburg (89-66) last week. The senior guard posted a season high scoring effort against the beavers with 25 points (9-12 FG, 6-9 3FG, 1-1 FT). He also added 5-rebounds, 2-assists and 2-steals. Against Augsburg, George put up 14 points (6-11 FG, 2-3 3FG), 7-rebounds, 4-assists and 5-steals. George finished with a two-game FG shooting percentage of .65 and .67 from 3-point. Loras is now 8-1 on the year and ranked 20th in the D3hoops.com top-25 poll. This is the first Player of the Week honor for George.
