High School Creighton Prep Male Athlete of the Week – Men’s Basketball – Player of the Week Nate Schimonitz, Nebraska Wesleyan University Jr., G., Omaha, Neb./Creighton Prep Schimonitz averaged 24 points and 7.5 assists in two NWU wins to keep the No.1-ranked Prairie Wolves undefeated. He went a perfect 10-for-10 from the field, including 7-for-7 on 3-pointers to score 28 points in NWU’s 100-70 win over Olivet. In the Prairie Wolves’ 99-77 win over Redlands he scored 20 points and provided seven assists. The junior guard was named MVP of NWU’s Snyder Classic where he was 18-23 from the field and 9-10 on 3-point attempts in two games. He went over the 1,000 career point mark in the first half against Olivet. Schimonitz was a first team all-conference selection as a freshman and sophomore.
