The junior forward was named MVP of St. Benedict's Quinlivan & Hughes Tip-Off Tournament, where Simpson beat Saint Mary's and Saint Benedict to improve to 3-0. She averaged 25 points, 10.5 rebounds and shot 57.1% from the field while going 8-for-12 from 3-point range. On her way to scoring 32 points against St. Benedict, Taylor made five 3-pointers, helping the Storm set a school record with 16 for the game (16-34). Taylor added 12 rebounds in the contest. Against Saint Mary’s University she put up 18 points, secured nine rebounds, and recorded two steals.
