High School Boylan Catholic Men’s Soccer – Defensive Player of the Week Tristan Davenport, Luther College Sr., D, Rockford, Ill./Boylan Catholic Davenport anchored a defensive front that held Wartburg scoreless in the semifinals of the American Rivers Conference Tournament and allowed one goal versus Loras in the championship match. Luther won its eighth tournament title with a 2-1 victory over the Duhawks and will be making its ninth appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament. Luther improved to 16-3-1 and has won six in a row. The Norse defensive unit has held opponents to a scoring average of 0.75 goals per game. It was announced today that Luther will host Knox College in the first-round of this year’s NCAA Division III tournament. This is Davenport’s third career Defensive Player of the Week honor (11/5/18, 9/24/18, 9/2/18).
