High School Oswego Football – Defensive Player of the Week Chad Marsh, University of Dubuque Jr., LB, Oswego, Ill./Oswego In a scenario of win and stay alive in this year’s conference title race, UD earned a 17-6 road win over Simpson Saturday, Nov. 3. Marsh led the Spartans with 15 tackles (4 solo, 11 assisted), 1.5 tackles for loss of five yards, one interception, one pass break-up, and .5 sack for loss of four yards. The UD defense held the storm to 89 yards on the ground and intercepted the Storm four times. This is the first Defensive Player of the Week honor for Marsh. The University of Dubuque hosts Wartburg Saturday, Nov. 10th with the winner coming away with the 2018 American Rivers Conference title and the league’s AQ to the NCAA Division III playoffs.
