High School Lindenhurst Women’s Soccer – Defensive Player of the Week Taylor Trovato, Loras College Jr., D, Long Island, N.Y./Lindenhurst Trovato helped the Duhawks to a 2-0-week record, picking up a 6-0 win over Simpson and a 2-1 non-conference victory over UW-Oshkosh. The junior led defensive effort that held Simpson without a shot on goal, the second time Loras has accomplished the feat in league play this season. Scored second career goal on free kick against the Storm. In 14 contests this year, the Loras defense has a 1.07 goal against average. Loras is currently on an 11-match winning streak. This is Trovato’s first career Defensive Player of the Week honor.
