High School La Crosse Central Men’s Cross Country – Runner of the Week Sam Pinkowski, Wartburg College So., La Crosse, Wis./La Crosse Central Pinkowski and the Knights competed on their home course for the Dan Huston Invite Saturday, September 29. In a field of 285 runners, Pinkowski crossed the finish line in 25:14.9 to take second, one second behind winner. The Knights took first in the 19-team field with 35 points. This is Pinkowski’s third Runner of the Week accolade (10/1/18, 9/17/18, 10/1/17).
