The junior defensive back returned a blocked extra point 98 yards for two points to keep it a one-possession game in the 4th quarter, allowing Simpson to score the game-tying TD in regulation. The Strom went on to upend Wartburg in overtime when they opted for a two-point conversion, where they successfully executed the “Philly Special,” made famous by Nick Foles and the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII. Lehr also recovered a fumble on a kickoff. From the DB position, Lehr has recorded 33 tackles this season, good for seventh in the league. Lehr’s two interceptions on the year rank fourth in the conference. This is Lehr’s second Defensive Player of the Week accolade (10/1/18, 10/8/17). Simpson improved to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play.
