The senior thrower took first-place in the shotput and second in the hammer throw. Murfin’s winning shotput mark of 56-09.25 currently ranks second in NCAA Division III. In the hammer throw, Murfin had a toss of 57.65-m, which stands 11th in NCAA Division III. This is Murfin’s sixth Outdoor Field Performer of the Week honor of his career (5/13/18, 4/15/18, 5/7/17, 4/23/17, 5/16/16, 4/4/16). Murfin and the Spartans took second-place as a team.
