Ashlyn Bagge Award Female Athlete of the Week Week Of 5/13/2018 Sport American Rivers Conference School Wartburg College Year Senior Position Hometown Independence, Iowa High School Independence Female Athlete of the Week – Women’s Outdoor Track & Field – Track Performer of the Week Ashlyn Bagge, Wartburg College Sr., Independence, Iowa/Independence Bagge helped the Knights to a second-place team finish with first-place times in the 5,000 and 10,000-meter runs. She is the first Wartburg competitor to sweep the "double" since Alana Enabnit in 2012. Bagge’s won the 5,000 in a time of 17:06.90. She currently holds the 13th fastest time in NCAA Division III at 16.53.17, set on April 12. In the 10,000-metere Bagge crossed the finish line in an IIAC Championship record of 35.36.92. The previous record was held by Alana Enabnit of Wartburg in 2012 (36.22.03). The senior’s 10,000-meter time of 35.28.82 from the Drake Relays on April 25 ranks 10th in the nation. This is Bagge’s first Outdoor Track & Field – Tracker Performer of the Week honor.
