High School Westside Female Athlete of the Week – Softball – Position Player of the Week Carlee Guyett, Buena Vista University Fr., C/OF, Omaha, Neb./Westside Guyett helped the Beavers to a 5-1 record last week, going 13-for-21 (.619) at the plate. Six of her 13 hits went for extra bases, 5-doubles, and 1-triple. The Westside prep batted in 11 runs and finished with a .952 slugging percentage. In the field she totaled 18 putouts and two assists. Guyett is hitting a team-high .581 for the year and has hit safely in all 12 games to begin her career BVU now sits at 10-2 on the year. Guyett is the first BVU student-athlete to earn Softball Position Player of the Week honors since April 18, 2016 (Kelly Bycroft).
