Allie O'Brien Award Female Athlete of the Week Week Of 3/11/2018 Sport American Rivers Conference School Coe College Year Junior Position Hometown Grimes, Iowa High School Dallas Center Grimes Female Athlete of the Week – Softball – Position Player of the Week Allie O’Brien, Coe College Jr., 1B, Grimes, Iowa/Dallas Center Grimes Over a nine game stretch last week at the Tucson Invitational Games, O’Brien went 17-of-29 at the plate for a .586 batting average and batted in 13 runs. She tallied a 1.276 slugging percentage with three doubles, one triple and five home runs. The Dallas Center Grimes prep totaled 37 bases on the week and scored 10 runs as the Kohawks finish with a 6-3 record. From the first base position she had 54 putouts, four assists and was involved in four double plays. This is O’Brien’s second Female Athlete of the Week and Position Player of the Week honor (3/11/18, 3/7/16).
