High School Cherokee Trail Softball – Pitcher of the Week Emily Bell, Simpson College Fr., Aurora, Colo./Cherokee Trail Bell threw a no-hitter in her first collegiate outing against Houghton, as Simpson pickup up the win 19-0. The no-hitter was Simpson's first since 2012. In the Storm’s win over Houghton, Bell went 5-innings striking out nine of 17 batters faced as she collected the no-hitter. Bell tossed 6-innings in Simpson’s 4-0 win over the University of Pitt. At Greensburg, where she allowed just 3-hits and gave up 0-runs in 22 batters faced. The Cherokee Trail prep nor the Simpson pitching staff has given up earned run through four games. Bell is the first Storm player to earn Pitcher of the Week since Abbie VanVleet (4/18/16).
