High School St. Charles Male Athlete of the Week – Baseball – Position Player of the Week Derek McCready, Luther College So., DH, St. Charles, Minn./St. Charles McCready helped lead Luther to 7-0 and 18-0 wins over Carleton College in US Bank Stadium on March 1, 2018. Over the two games he batted .714 driving in 5-RBI and adding two doubles and a home run. In game one McCready went 2-3 at the plate with 4-RBI, 1-double, and one home run for a slugging percentage of 2.000 and a batting average of .667. Game two saw McCready bat .750 and slug 1.000 as he went 3-4 with 1-RBI, 1-double and 1-stolen base. This is McCready’s first Male Athlete of the Week and Position Player of the Week honor.
