High School Men’s Basketball – Player of the Week Ryan DiCanio, Loras College Jr., Guard, Bartlett, Ill./Bartlett DiCanio averaged 23PPG, 5RPG and 3.5APG on his way to becoming Loras’ 14th player to record 1,000 points and 500 rebounds. In the Duhawks 87-86 win over Simpson, DiCanio recorded 16-points, 4-rebounds, 3-assists and 1-blocked shot. DiCanio scored 30-points for the second time this season in Loras’ 95-82 win over cross-town rival Dubuque. Against the Spartans he added 6-rebounds and 4-assists. DiCanio moved into a tie for 24th all-time in Loras program history for scoring with 1,116 points. He's tied for 17th all-time with 501 rebounds and ranks seventh with 115 3-pointers. Loras’ final regular season win was No. 1,350 all-time since 1909. This is DiCanio’s second Player of the Week honor (2/18/18, 1/1/2017). The Duhawks received an IIAC Tournament round-one bye as the No. 2-seed and will host the winner of No. 3 Buena Vista/No.6 Central on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
