High School Madison Memorial Female Athlete of the Week – Women’s Indoor Track & Field – Track Performer of the Week Brittany Burks, University of Dubuque Jr., Madison, Wis./Madison Memorial Burks won the 60-meter hurdles at the UW-Platteville Select Saturday, January 28. She crossed the finish line in a time of 9.05 seconds to post the No.1 time in the IIAC and tie for the eighth fastest in NCAA Division III. Burks also took 3rd in 200-meter and 4th in pole vault to help the women run away with a team title at UW-Platteville Select. In the 200-meter she clocked a time of 27.08 and recorded a mark of 9’1” (2.77-meters) in the pole vault. This is Burks first Indoor T&F Track Performer of the Week award and Dubuque’s first since 2/22/15 (Fabiola Ortiz).
