Mark Fairley Award Track Performer of the Week (Men) Week Of 1/21/2018 Sport Indoor Track & Field School Central College Year Senior Position Hometown Dubuque, Iowa High School Dubuque Men’s Indoor Track & Field – Track Performer of the Week Mark Fairley, Central College Sr., Dubuque, Iowa/Dubuque On January 19, 2018 Fairley and the Dutch competed at the Prairie Wolf Invitational where he took home 1st in the 1,000 and 5,000-meter runs In the 1,000 he was 1st of 15 runners in a time of 2:32.78 and in the 5,000-meter run he crossed the line in 15:28.94 to finish 1st of 25 runners. Fairley is now 57th on the NCAA Division III qualifying list in the 5K and has the second fastest time in the Iowa Conference. His winning 5K time beat out the second-place finisher by over 20 seconds. Fairley took 3rd in the 3,000-meter run at the 2017 Iowa Conference Championships 2nd in the 1-mile.
