High School St. Ignatius Men’s Indoor Track & Field – Field Performer of the Week Chris Hawkins, Coe College Sr., Chicago, Ill./St. Ignatius Competing at the Sol Butler Invitational, Hawkins won the long jump at 23' 9" (7.24m), which ranks first in the Iowa Conference and third in NCAA Division III this season. Hawkins also earned a fourth-place finish in the 55-meter hurdles in 7.90, the fourth-best time in the Iowa Conference this season. Hawkins’ was voted the 2017 Indoor Track & Field Championships Most Valuable Field Performer. Hawkins is now a six-time Men’s Indoor Track and Field – Field Performer of the Week (1/14/18, 2/26/17, 2/19/17, 1/15/17, 1/18/16, 2/15/15). Hawkins won the long and triple jump titles at the 2016 and 2017 IIAC Indoor Championships.
