High School La Crescent Female Athlete of the Week – Women’s Basketball – Player of the Week Katie Waller, Luther College Sr., F, La Crescent, Minn./La Crescent Waller led the Norse in scoring last week as they opened league play 2-0. She was 7-of-14 from behind the three-point line on her way to averaging 16-points, 7-rebounds and one assist. In Luther’s 66-48 win over Central, Waller posted a double-double in conference with 14 points and 10 rebounds. She also added one blocked shot, steal and assist in the win over Central. Waller scored 18-points and grabbed four-rebounds in Luther’s 78-53 win over Loras. Again, she added one blocked shot, steal and assist. Waller was a first-team All-Iowa Conference selection a year ago. This is Waller’s second Player of the Week honor (12/3/17, 12/4/16).
