High School Female Athlete of the Week – Women’s Soccer – Offensive Player of the Week Maura Walsh, Loras College Sr., F, Lemont, Ill./St. Ignatius Walsh helped the Duhawks earn at least a share of their 11th IIAC title with a 3-0 win over Coe and a 1-1 tie against Wartburg this past week. Loras faces off against Central Tuesday, October 24 to determine the conference outright or co-champion. A Duhawk win or tie against Central will earn Loras the outright IIAC championship. Walsh scored on each of her shots this week and recorded a first half hat-trick against Coe She Leads all active players at Loras in career points. With 11-points in IIAC play, Walsh ranks No. 4 in the conference and her .571 average goals/game is tied for No.2. This is Walsh’s third Offensive Player of the Week accolade (10/22/17, 9/24/17, 10/23/16) Made her first All-Iowa Conference team appearance last year, earning second-team honors.
