High School Men’s Soccer – Defensive Player of the Week Jacob Peterson, Loras College Sr., GK, River Forest, Ill./Fenwick Peterson recorded a career-high nine saves against Wartburg as the Duhawks went onto win 3-2 in OT. Peterson also helped Loras collect wins over UW-Whitewater (3-0), Coe (2-0), St. Scholastica (3-0). He tallied three saves against Whitewater and one against Coe. Peterson has the most saves by a Loras goalkeeper since 2009. Loras is undefeated in its last seven outings, six of which have been clean sheets Peterson leads the conference with two shutouts and ranks No.5 with a 1.429 goals against average. Peterson is now a five-time Defensive Player of the Week honoree (10/22/17, 9/10/17, 10/30/16, 10/11/15, 9/13/15) He was named first-team All-Iowa Conference goalkeeper in 2016 & 2015.
