Jake Kudrick Award Player of the Week Week Of 9/24/2017 Sport Men's Tennis School Coe College Year Freshman Position Hometown Spring, Texas High School Klein Male Athlete of the Week – Men’s Tennis Player of the Week Jake Kudrick, Coe College Fr., Spring, Texas/Klein The Kohawks and the rest of the conference participated in the IIAC Individual Championships this past weekend in Ankeny, Iowa. Just a freshman, Kudrick marched through the A-Singles bracket for the gold medal. Had to win a pair of three-set matches in the semis and the final. Defeated Anders Jensen (LUT), 6-3, 2-6, (10-4 super) in the semis. Defeated Nate Parsons (LUT), 6-1, 2-6 (11-9) in the final. Event, hosted by Simpson College, was played in stifling heat with temps in the low-90s and higher heat indices.
