Mason Tope Award Runner of the Week (Men) Week Of 9/17/2017 Sport Cross Country School Loras College Year Senior Position Hometown Davenport, Iowa High School Men’s Cross Country - Runner of the Week Mason Tope, Loras College Sr., Davenport, Iowa / Davenport Central Tope and the Duhawks competed at the National Catholic Championships this past weekend where he completed the 8K course in a time of 25:27.2. His time earned him 1st place out of 131 Non-Division I runners, 11.8 seconds ahead of second place. He finished 8th overall including 85 Division-I runners. Loras finished 1st in the team race with 32 points to earn their third team title in the last four years at National Catholic Championships Tope finished 6th at the 2016 Iowa Conference Cross Country Championship to earn All-Conference honors In 2015, he earned All-Conference honors after finishing 4th at the Conference Championship This is Tope’s second Runner of the Week honor (9/17/17, 9/3/17).
