The Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) announced today that University of Dubuque junior Arantxa Martinez (San Luis Potosi, Mexico) has been selected Iowa Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Year for the 2016 season. Martinez had a tremendous year, going 10-0 overall at No. 1 singles and winning both the A-singles and A-doubles titles at the conference's individual championship in early October. It's the second year in a row that Martinez has gotten all-conference honors, and it's UD's first conference MVP.
