High School Germantown Softball – Pitcher of the Week Amanda Witzlib, Luther College Sr., P, Germantown, Wis. / Germantown 2015 and 2016 Iowa Conference Pitcher of the Year has battled back from injury and picked up her first win and save of the season this past week Witzlib was credited with the save during Luther's 3-2 victory over Wartburg not allowing a run in 3 hits in three innings of work She took over in the middle of the third against Simpson, the final game of the year, and struck out 8 of the 14 batters she faced to record the win In 7.2 inning pitched on the week she allowed on four hits, struck out 10 of 24 batters faced, and did not issue a walk. Witzlib is a x-time Pitcher of the week (4/30/17, 5/9/16, 4/25/16, 3/28/16, 4/27/15, 4/12/15, 3/22/15) Luther claimed the regular season IIAC Championship this past week and will host the IIAC Softball Tournament May 5-6
