McDonald, a sophomore defender, scored two goals on four shots in a 3-0 victory over Buena Vista on Oct. 16. With the victory, the Spartans improved to 12-2 overall, 5-0 in the Iowa Conference, and clinched a berth in the IIAC Tournament. The squad also moved to No. 3 in the NSCAA North Region rankings and debuted at No. 24 in the NSCAA national poll.
