Herrion, a freshman running back, carried the ball 31 times for 144 yards and four touchdowns in Dubuque's 45-13 upset of then-No. 6 Wartburg. He was a key component of a Spartans offense which gained 13 first downs on the ground (24 overall) against a team that had given up just 28 first rounds all season entering the contest.
