Resnick, a sophomore, successfully defended her Flight A singles title at the IIAC Women’s Tennis Individual Tournament with a 6-3, 7-6 (4) win over No. 2-seeded Arantxa Martinez of Dubuque in a rematch of last year’s Flight A final won by Resnick in three sets. Resnick trailed 5-2 in the second set before rallying to win. The title was the fifth-straight in Flight A Singles by a Kohawk. She also teamed with Laura Birky to win the Flight A doubles crown. Entering the tournament as the No. 2 seeds, the tandem defeated top-seeded Maggie Helms and Hailey Johnson of Luther, 8-5, in the final. It was the eighth-straight year Coe has won the Iowa Conference Flight A Doubles championship. (IIAC Female Athlete of the Week)
