Sprinkel, a senior, paired with Ryan Hickman for wins at No. 2 doubles against Wartburg and Luther as the Kohawks won the Iowa Conference Men’s Tennis AQ Tournament and captured the IIAC’s automatic berth in the NCAA Division III Men’s Tennis Championship for the fourth straight year. He and Hickman beat Wartburg’s Eric Hilpert and Andre Greene, 8-1, in the semifinals, then toppled Luther’s Kyle Appel and Trent Schneider, 8-6, in the final. Sprinkel also competed at No. 1 singles for the Kohawks, but both of his matches were abandoned after the Kohawks had clinched the team victory.
