Sommer, a freshman outfielder, hit .611 (11-of-18) and slugged 1.000 as the Knights won six of seven games last week. She had a double, two home runs, 10 RBIs, stole one base and scored seven runs. Sommer had at least one hit in each game and multiple hits in four of seven contests. She drove in three in an 8-0 win over MacMurray to start the week and hit a three-run home run in a 9-0, five-inning win over Augsburg. Sommer also drove in both runs in the final game of the week, a 2-1 win over No. 14 Augustana (Ill.), hitting a sacrifice fly in the third inning and a solo home run in the seventh. The win over the Vikings was the first for the Knights over a top 25 team since Wartburg defeated then-No. 14 Central, 3-2, on April 7, 2009.
