Ortiz, a sophomore, factored into two new school records while competing at the UD Spartan Invitational. She finished second in the 800 with a time of 2:18.73 and was on UD's runner-up 1,600 relay which stopped the clock in 4:04.22. It was the third straight record-setting event for Ortiz, who broke UD's mile record last week. She currently ranks in the top-5 in the IIAC in three events (800, mile, 1,600 relay) and has finished no lower than fourth in six individual events this season.
