Kotas, a senior forward, averaged 23.0 points and 4.0 rebounds while leading the Spartans to victories over Buena Vista (90-75) and Luther (94-81). She scored 24 points on 5-of-9 shooting and made 12 of 13 free throws against Buena Vista, then scored 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting and pulled down five rebounds against the Norse as Dubuque clinched its first IIAC regular-season title. The Spartans finished with the conference's top scoring offense (72.4 ppg). Kotas led the Iowa Conference in scoring at 18.1 points per game -- the second Spartan in three years to do so -- and free throw percentage at 94.1 percent (64-of-68) and also finished second in rebounding (7.6 rpg).
