Brinker, a sophomore forward, averaged 14.5 points and 4.0 rebounds per game while shooting 55.6 percent (10-of-18) from the field. Coming into the week averaging just 5.0 points per game in Iowa Conference play, she exploded for 29 points on 18 shots in 35 minutes over two games as the Spartans posted wins over Coe (77-72) and Loras (78-74) to claim sole possession of first place in the conference standings. Brinker scored five straight points to give Dubuque a 71-68 lead over Coe with 53 seconds to play. Against Loras, she scored 14 of her 16 points in the first half at Loras.
