Drey, a sophomore forward, averaged 17.0 points and 8.5 rebounds and shot 56.0 percent (14-of-25) from the field as Buena Vista posted wins over Luther (76-75) and Central (86-74) to remain in first place in the conference. He matched a career-high with 19 points and pulled down 13 rebounds against the Norse while shooting 8-of-13 from the field. Drey grabbed a key offensive rebound in the final minute and sank a pair of free throws to get Buena Vista back within one before Cole Darrow’s game-winning shot with seven seconds remaining. Against the Dutch, he scored 13 of his 15 points in the second half and also grabbed all four rebounds after halftime as Buena Vista opened up a 21-point lead. Drey is the only Beaver to have scored in double figures in all 19 games this season and continues to lead the Iowa Conference in rebounding with 11.4 caroms per game.
