Schmidt, a senior guard, averaged 16.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 3.0 assists as Dubuque captured a pair of wins last week. She scored 17 points on 5-of-11 shooting with five rebounds, three steals and two assists in Dubuque’s 57-54 win over Loras on Jan. 21, clinching the victory with a pair of free throws with 11 seconds to play. In Dubuque’s 78-72 win over Simpson on Jan. 24, Schmidt scored 16 points and had four rebounds, four steals, and four assists. She was 8-of-10 at the free-throw line against the Storm, including sinking six free throws in the final 1:25 to seal the win. In her last three games (all UD wins), Schmidt is averaging 15.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.3 steals. She also currently ranks second in the Iowa Conference in steals (3.17 spg).
