Heitland, a freshman defensive lineman, posted six tackles (four solo), including 3.0 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks, in Coe's 33-13 win over Buena Vista. His efforts, which also included a forced fumble, two quarterback hurries and a pass break-up, helped help shut down the league's top offense. The Kohawks limited the Beavers' offense to 286 yards, 208 below its league-leading average. It was Heitland's first career start.
