Decker, a junior, won the men's individual title at the 2014 Iowa Conference Cross Country Championships Nov. 1 at Pickard Park in Indianola. He jumped out to a 100-meter lead early in the race and never looked back, covering the 8,000-meter course in a season-best 25:15 and besting the rest of the field by over eight seconds. Decker is the third Central runner in as many years to win the individual title. In addition to this year's victory, he finished second as a freshman and third a year ago. The Dutch came up short in their bid for a third straight team title, falling, 33-37, to Loras. (IIAC Male Athlete of the Week)
