Barrett, a senior running back, set career highs with 42 carries and 264 yards in Buena Vista's 48-41 win over Luther. He had touchdowns runs of 7 and 1 yards. Barrett's 264 yards were the fourth-most for a single game in school history while finishing just four carries shy of the BVU school record. Both marks were also single-game highs in the Iowa Conference this season. Barrett helped BVU win its fourth straight game this season and its seventh straight IIAC contest dating back to last season.
