Brown, a senior quarterback, threw for a school-record for passing yardage with 432 and tied two others with 30 completions and five touchdown passes in Buena Vista's 48-29 win over Loras. He had 339 yards passing and four touchdowns in the first half. Brown broke the single-game yardage record of 431 set by Eric Wiebers against Dubuque in 2002 and tied the completions mark set by Wiebers in that same game. His five touchdown passes pulled him into a tie with Rollie Wiebers (Eric's father) for the program's all-time lead (49 from 1975-78). Buena Vista is 2-0 in league play for the first time since 2008.
