Gilland, a senior wide receiver, set Buena Vista single-game records with 15 receptions and 236 receiving yards in the Beavers' 38-31 win over Simpson. He had 10 first-half receptions, while his three touchdown catches (2, 5, 26) came in the span of 4:16 in the second quarter. The last two came 15 seconds apart as the Beavers rallied for three scores in the final 1:52 of the first half to turn a 21-7 deficit into a 28-21 halftime lead.
